The Eye DR.

Four children went to the eye Dr. today. One was gung-ho to get glasses. I was told this child would lie about being able to see in order to get glasses. After all is said and done, out of four children that child is the only one who does not need glasses. LOL. Even the little bitty four year old will be sporting glasses after Tuesday. Devlin, my oldest will not be getting glasses. They were all so sweet at the Dr. In the waiting room they occupied themselves by playing The Glasses Store. Once part of their exam was over they played with unused equipment taking turns being the Dr. My children are so into dramatic play you can tell they are mine.
Damian is OK with this. He was sad that he would not get them today. Hopefully he will still be happy after he wears them all the time. Fox was not too thrilled at all. Glasses in the AM and a spacer being put in this afternoon. Oh the joys of childhood.

We Made Crayons!!!!!

We made crayons. Some for us and some for baby Noah.
First we took all the paper off and broke them into small pieces.

We cooked them at 270 for about 9 minutes. We let them sit on
the stove for about 10 min. Then we froze for half an hour.
All done. Lot's of colors here. We had a blast. My kids were amazed they were still useable after we baked them.

Making an abacus

Well, I started off making this with Fox, but ADHD soon overtook and he lost interest. Skyler Bay on the other hand had a blast. We use an abacus for math with the Rightstart Math.

Damian Has finished book 1

Damian has finished book 1 in the Pathway readers series. "YAY" He still has some of the testing to do in the workbook, two pages to be exact but the story book is done. He was kinda sad. I told him he would start a new book and he wanted to know right off if he would still get to read all about Rachel and Peter. He has really enjoyed following their adventures. He was proud that he read that whole book too.

All about our Art Studies this year.....

We are using "How to use childsized masterpieces this year for art appreciation. I have finally organized the three different levels in Step 1. This study can be used for a variety of ages. The first step deals with matching. Each level becomes more and more difficult.

Level 1 is matching paintings that are totally different in color, style, artist. Very easy to tell apart.

Level 2 is a bit more thinking. Some are similiar which will cause the child to look more closely to tell them apart.

Step 3 which I find confusing, LOL is alot more thought required. It is all the same type of subject, same artist, same style. In this case it is different vases of flowers. You really have to double take in order to match exactly. The artist for these cards again is the same and it happens to be, Redon Odilon.

The entire set consists of 8 different steps with numerouse levels in each one. When all is said and done they will learn the names of artists and paintings. They will learn the different schools of art as well as completing a timeline of art through history that they will make themselves. I have yet to organize the art prints and all for the other steps.

Discovering Great Artists http://www.kidsart.com/store/dga.html is what we will be using for art type activities. It is a wonderful book with brief biographies of many artists backgrounds as well as their work. It includes different activities for each artists for the children to make.

We are really looking forward to art this year. In the past I have kind of winged it so this will be a new expierence for us.

Better pics of the lil hermit crabs

They are so creepy.

Foxy read a book to his daddy!!!

He's so cute. I am too too proud.

To the Pediatrician,

35 questions to ask a pediatrician

Dear Pediatrician,

You say there is no link between MMR and Autism. But then,

1. What is causing the epidemic of autism cases?

2. Why are children with autism testing positive for mercury?

3. Why is the measles virus found in the guts of autism patients?

4. Why is chelation (heavy metal detoxification) the most effectiveprocedure (30% results) in treating autism cases?

5. You pediatricians say that autism appears "at around thetime the MMR vaccine is given. In many cases older children haveregressed into ASD after getting the MMR shot. Howcan you explain this?

6. Why don't you stop the MMR or break it up? Surely Measlesand mumps are curable diseases and far more benign thanautism and other PDD and neurological disorders?

7. What makes you doctors so special that you know betterthan the patients who are suffering and trying to getacross the source of their misery to you people?

8. Why is it that vaccine manufacturers are now keeping asidearound 60% of the MRP of vaccines to fight court cases?

9. Why are vaccines mercury free in the US now while themercury laced vaccines are being peddled in the Third Worldcountries?

10.Do you inform the parents of vaccine dangers, and the sideeffects of the vaccine ingredients?11.Why are long term tests on vaccines not being conducted?

12.Why have vaccine manufacturers influenced US politicianMr. Frist to make them immune from law suits?

13.Why was the immunity clause introduced cladestinely?

14.Dangers from vaccines have been discussed in medical circlessince 1909. Dangers from mercury in vaccines have beendiscussed since 1938. Why was the public not informedabout the results of these discussions. Even today vaccinedangers are discussed away from public gaze. WHY?

15.The Vaccine Development Report 2006, acknowledges thepublic furore over Thimerosal and yet vows to continuethe use. Why?

16.Why is mercury so essential for vaccines? Why arecarcinogens and potent toxins used in vaccines?

17.What is keeping the US and other governments from testing the longterm effects of ethylmercury?

18.Why are tests on mice proving the dangerous after effectsof ethylmercury relegated to the dustbin?

19.What tests have been conducted to prove that the vaccinationprocess is ABSOLUTELY safe and can be given to all childrenwhatever their state of health, medical history and ethnicity?20.Do the peditricians keep a watch on the children they have vaccinated?

21.Do they keep track of vaccine after effects and report themto the authorities?

22.If yes, then what are the vaccine after effects?

23.Why does the CDC record anphylactic seizures, shock, enephalitis, meningitis, other neurological disordersas probable vaccine after effects on its website? Whydoes it warn about "allergies" to vaccines?

24.Do you inform the parents of those children you vaccinateabout the above mentioned after effects?

25.Why are parents of children in Third World countries keptin the dark about the above mentioned after effects?

26. And most important, what studies have been undertaken to know how theMMR vaccine interacts with the other vaccines preceeding it?

27. The EPA in the USA says that mercury is "safe" upto 0.1 mcg of bodyweight. By the time children are given the 24 shots, and they receive theflu shot, the mercury in their body may go upto 249.6mcg. How can this bedeemed "absolutely safe"?

28. The pediatricians warn of mercury in environment affecting pregnantmothers and newborn babies. Why do they then keep quiet about the mercuryINJECTED into the infants BLOODSTREAM of the infants, and in such hugequantities?

29. The EPA warns about trace elements of mercury in tuna fish. Again, whatabout the mercury INJECTED into the infants BLOODSTREAM of the infants, andin such huge quantities?

30. If the vaccine industry is asked to prepare and distribute vaccines forfree, and if the pediatricians are asked to inject them for free then willthese groups still be so enthusisastic about vaccines? In India the doctorsdo not heed the call of the government to conduct and participate in freevaccine camps. But they do conduct paid vaccine camps at the behest ofvaccine MNC's.You MUST answer all my questions because autism has progressed from 1 in10,000 to 1 in 166 and is slated to become 1 in 150 and then maybe grip theentire population. It is already being discussed that neurological disordersresembling autism is prevalent in alarmingly large sections of thepopulation.

31. And yes, another question. Are you fully educated about the entireprocess of vaccine manufacture? Are you fully aware of the entire chemicals and toxins used in the vaccine manufacture process, storage and use? Are youaware of all the side effects of these heavy metals and toxins, individuallyand collectively? Have you personally been to any vaccine manufacturing lab?Have you consulted any chemist or other person involved in the vaccinemanufacturing process regarding the entire procedure and its safety?

33. If not, then how can you peddle vaccines, suggest and promote their use?

34. You still did not answer the question if epidemics of genetic disordersare possible.

35. And the ultimate question. Do you have the gift of conscience?

My question of course on a personal level, have you met my son? Did you ever hear of the future he once had?
